NGC7424

It's the NGC7424 galaxy. This is a spiral galaxy very similar to our Milky Way, with near the same size and shape, located about 40 million lightyears from us. When I was assembling the subframes I noticed a supernova not visible in the recent year's pictures of NGC7424, so I asked an astronomer, and He tell me that this supernova was noticed first this year in march from a team (BOSS team) of New Zealand. This is the star labeled at the superior zone of the galaxy, near 12 o'clock. This picture have about 10 hours of data in L-RGB, with subframes of 16 minutes. The sky was poor with too much airglow and deficient seeing. This is a difficult target, with low surface brightness.
